No one could argue that football has become an industry rather than just a game, all of the clubs are busy with their profits that they neglected the players and also the fans which then resulted in the players' non loyalties, you see where this is going, it's like a vicious cycle and you know who I think is to blame here, Real Madrid and let me tell you why, ever since Real Madrid introduced to the Los Galacticos to the world with paying Juventus a record breaking fee of 48 million Poundsterling, bringing David Beckham, the traitor Luis Figo and Ronaldo (the Brazil one not Cristiano, just yet), I think every club in the world trying to follow in the footsteps of Real Madrid then Manchester City happened acquiring almost every hot prospects at that time, Robinho, Elano and of course, enticing that asshole, Carlos Tevez from United and then the latest, PSG with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Javier Pastore, David Luiz and etc. etc.
All of this rich clubs get to throw any amount of money so easily that it created a mentality of greedy so called "superstars" in each player no matter how crappy or good they are - okay, so Cristiano Ronaldo has the right to be a douchebag because he has all the talents infused in his feet but I'm so sorry to say this, players like Nicklas Bendtner, Mario Balotelli and of course, Raheem Sterling do not have a single fuck to be demanding anything.
It's like loyalty has gone out of the window in the world of football, case in point, there are rumors saying that Angel DI Maria is close to a switch to PSG, I mean come on! It was only one bad season and if this turn out to be true then I will deeply disappointed with Angel Di Maria, I mean it will be like Fabian Delph saying his love for Aston Villa is out of this world but his love for City's money is unconditional, true fact that Angel did say he will be returning to United and prove his worth awhile back so we'll just have to wait if he will be United's number 7 again or will he be the next Fabian Delph.
I mean you know it's a two way street with un-loyalty these days, just look at how Real Madrid's disposing of their living legend and former captain, Iker Casillas, oh and not just Iker, with Raul and Guti too. Iker didn't want to go, you could see it in his eyes when he did his final goodbye press conference but the total disrespect shown by Madrid's President, Florentino Perez and also the fans were so overwhelming that Casillas didn't have a choice but leave. I'm not a Madrid fan and yet I am outraged Real's action to just dump Casillas like that.
I think that players now know that they are expandable so that is why they're trying to squeeze every penny they can before they retire and I seriously doubt we can see loyalty like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Francesco Totti anymore in modern day football.
