First of, there's Honda's Project 2&4 which is Honda's attempt to topple BAC Mono or Ariel Atom, Project 2&4 is basically a one-seater, four wheels motorcycle and why did I call it a motorcycle? Because it's wearing a RC213V engine, an engine you most definitely would see inside a Honda's MotoGP bike, the design is very fresh but the one thing that I found it rather confusing, why did Honda put the seat on the left side, some say that it can be moved from left to right easily but when you make a single seater car/motorcycle, the logic thinking would be putting the seat in the center of the thing, am I right? Luckily, it's still a concept, so hopefully, Honda will see this blog entry and make the change.
Next is the Bentley Bentayga, now this is truly vexing for me, because the Bentayga is a SUV, the first of its kind for Bentley. Now why would Bentley create a SUV? Bentley making a SUV is like Lamborghini making a SAV...oh, wait, Lamborghini is making a SAV called URUS. You know what I mean, right? Bentley is always associated with luxury sedans, even the Bentley Continental GT really surprised me at first but when you say Bentley, you'll instantly think about a big luxury stretch-out sedan, similar to Rolls Royce or a Maybach and not a SUV, just leave the SUVs to BMW, Audi and Mercedes, stick to your niche market.
Speaking of Mercedes, the German Conglomerate also launched a futuristic car called IAA Concept or the Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile which I won't say anything more about it, all I can say is that the car is ridiculous, I very much don't like the design of it, it's not very good and I think everyone would agree, so just leave it a t that.
Now, the two most talked about cars of the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 are the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo and Porsche Mission E. Let's dissect both of them, shall we?
Now, everyone knows that I don't like Bugatti at all, I love their performance but the design of the Veyron is not good but at all, the bulky and "eggy" design makes you think how a car like that can topple the likes of Lamborghini and Ferrari but this Vision Gran Turismo sure is a beaut, let me tell ya. Although, it is still filled with flaws on terms of design, you can skip the performance because it's a Bugatti, we all know it can go fucking fast. The design, the front has changed so much from we normally see, the headlight design is more aggressive and not like a smiling face with big nose like we all see in a Veyron. The back is also quite good, I like the one strip tail-light but what I don't like is the spoiler because it is a little too big and Bugatti took the page out of Lamborghini Veneno but it's no big deal at all, the worst thing about the Vision Gran Turismo is their side design, I mean, you built a seemingly almost rectangular designed car but you still put the circular design on the sides? The front and the back are good, it doesn't look like a bubble anymore but when you see the sides, it really put you off completely. Way to half-ass the design, guys.
Now for me, the creme of the crop would be Porsche Mission E and you know why? because for once, Porsche made a bold design and not just copy the usual "froggy" design year after year after year after year after...you get it? Sense the pattern? Porsche always do the same design for their cars over and over again in exclusion of Porsche 918, of course but this Mission E is something different, oh my God, I am in love with this car, the slick, modern back side with one strip tail-light, the suicide doors on this car are just ingenious, it creates this sporty yet luxury vibe, the front still has that "frog" feel to it but I hope that Porsche would change it into something completely different and the most important part is Mission E is full electric, a 600bhp worth of electricity, that is bonkers! That is electrifying! I mean, this car can beat a Lamborghini Huracan with electricity, oh and by the way, Huracan also launched their Spyder version which I think it's quite dumb to put a soft-top instead of a hardtop, the 488 uses a hardtop, the 650S uses a hardtop, why oh why did you put a soft-top?
